The Air Force and its mission partners successfully launched the AFSPC-5 mission aboard the Space and Missile Systems Center procured United Launch Alliance Atlas V launch vehicle at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL, May 20, 2015. The Atlas V rocket carried into low Earth orbit an X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle, marking the fourth space flight for the X-37B program.

Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama has been the country's intellectual center for airpower education since the 1930’s. The Air University (AU), the Air Force’s center for professional military education, is located on both Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex and provides the full spectrum of Air Force education, from pre-commissioning to the highest levels of professional military education, including degree granting and professional continuing education for commissioned officers, enlisted members, and civilian personnel.

Montgomery is the capital of Alabama and the home to a number of state and private universities, including Alabama State University, Troy University, and a satellite campus of Auburn University. As a cultural center, it is the home to the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Shakespeare Festival’s Carolyn Blount Theatre. The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, the Montgomery Ballet, and the Alabama Dance Theatre are all part of the Troy University Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts calendar of performances. Minor league baseball and the world-renowned Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail are but a few of the sports and recreational-related activities that Montgomery boasts. Eielson Air Force Base is located approximately 26 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska, and just southeast of North Pole, Alaska, and Moose Creek, Alaska.
The 354th Fighter Wing is the host unit at Eielson Air Force Base and is assigned to 11th Air Force, headquartered at Elmendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage. Eleventh Air Force falls under Pacific Air Forces, which is headquartered at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The wing supports operations, maintenance, mission support, and medical group functions and is host to several tenant units.
Eielson's mission is to prepare U.S. and allied aviation forces for combat, to deploy Airmen in support of global operations, and to enable the staging of forces to promote U.S. interests in the Asia-Pacific region.
Eielson Air Force Base and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson are the home of RED FLAG-Alaska, a joint tactical air combat employment exercise for U.S. and allied forces which corresponds to the operational capability of participating units.
Tenant units at Eielson include the 168th Air Refueling Wing of the Alaska Air National Guard, Detachment 460 of the Air Force Technical Applications Center, Detachment 1 of the 66th Training Squadron Arctic Survival School, Detachment 632 of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Detachment 1 of the 210th Rescue Squadron, and Detachment 25 of the 372nd Training Squadron.

The City of Fairbanks is known locally as the "Golden Heart City" because of the generosity of spirit and hospitality of the citizens. Encompassed by nature and the elements, the city experiences summer days filled with endless sunshine, and cold, wintry nights illuminated by the Northern Lights. The city is vibrant with business, education, outdoor and sports activities, and a dynamic arts community.
Fairbanks, established as a trading post, has grown to become the second largest city in Alaska. Main job opportunities lie within the Government, trade, transportation, and utilities. Fairbanks is home to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the oldest college in Alaska. It is also home to the Yukon Quest, an international 1,000 mile sled dog race that is considered one of the toughest in the world. A hub for cross-country skiing, many ski events are held in Fairbanks, including the annual 50k race called the Sonot Kkaazoot, the Fairbanks Town Series races (consisting of four different races), and the Chest Medicine Distance Series races (consisting of three different races). Residents enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, climbing, skiing, golfing, rafting, and fishing. Fairbanks is a short trip to Denali National Park and Preserve, one of the crown jewels of the U.S. National Park Service. Throughout the city, influences of 10,000-year-old Alaska Native customs and traditions can be seen, highlighted each year by the Festival of Native Arts.

In October 2010, the Air Force's Elmendorf Air Force Base and the Army's Fort Richardson combined to become one installation, in accordance with the Defense Department's 2005 Base Closure and Realignment Commission recommendations. This merger of two great installations and two powerful combat missions simply formalized an already close working relationship the Air Force and Army have shared here for years; working together under the Alaskan Command.
Today, JBER continues to grow in importance to U.S. national security because of its strategic location and complementary mix of military capabilities to include F-22 Raptors, Pacific Command's only airborne brigade combat team and the C-17 Globemaster IIIs that will get them to the fight. The combination of this incredible air/ground force with world-class Alaska training facilities, such as the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex, makes JBER a jewel within the Department of Defense. The 673d ABW is composed of four groups: a mission support group, a logistic readiness group, a civil engineer group, and a medical group. The major command elements at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson are the Alaskan Command/11th Air Force; U.S. Army Alaska; the Air Force's 3rd Wing; the Alaska Army National Guard; and the Alaska Air National Guard's 176th Wing.
There are nearly 50 other organizations that call JBER home. Some of those include: the 715th Air Mobility Operations Group; the 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron; the 381st Intelligence Squadron; the Air Force Reserve's 477th Fighter Group; the Canadian Forces Detachment; the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific; Marine Corps' Reserve training center; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the Armed Services YMCA of Alaska; and many, many more. Work performed at Elmendorf-Richardson involves logistics, maintenance, engineering, technical, medical, finance, and other administrative and professional positions in support of the base's broad mission responsibilities.

Anchorage is home to more than 40 percent of Alaska's total population. Encircled by six mountain ranges and warmed by a maritime climate, large portions of the local economy depend on Anchorage's geographical location and surrounding natural resources. The largest economic sectors include transportation, military, local and federal government, tourism, liquidations, and resource extraction. Numerous activities expose people to the immense nature and wild-life surrounding the city, from fishing and hiking to skiing and snowmobiling.
Anchorage has become a sophisticated urban and cultural center with a lively festival, art, and athletic scene. Anchorage hosts the ceremonial start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Anchorage is also home to the Fur Rendezvous Open World Championship Sled Dog Races; a three-day dogsled sprint event consisting of three timed races of 25.5 miles each. The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts has featured mega-musical performed by visiting companies, and presents the International Ice Carving Competition as part of the Fur Rendezvous festival. Anchorage currently has two professional sports teams: the Alaska Aces of hockey's ECHL, and the Alaska Wild, a member of the Indoor Football League.
Anchorage has four higher-education facilities that offer a variety of programs: the University of Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Pacific University, Charter College, and the Anchorage campus of Texas-based Wayland Baptist University. Other continuing education facilities in Anchorage include the Grainger Leadership Institute, Nine Star Enterprises, CLE International, Nana Worksafe, and PackBear DBA Barr & Co.
Davis–Monthan Air Force Base is located within the city limits and approximately five miles south-southeast of downtown Tucson, Arizona.
The host unit is the 355th Fighter Wing, assigned to the Twelfth Air Force, which is part of the Air Combat Command. The Wing and various tenant units located on base provide close air support; forward air controllers; air liaison officers; command, control, and communications warfare; air control radar; combat search and rescue; and combat support forces to unified commanders. The Wing also provides initial and recurrency flying training to all U.S. Air Force A/OA-10 and EC-130 pilots and crews, and is the ACC's executive agent for INF and START treaty compliance.
The 355th Fighter Wing’s Operations Group consists of six squadrons and over 450 personnel, including the 12-member West Coast A-10 “Thunderbird” Demonstration Team. The Mission Support Group consists of about 2,000 military and civilian personnel in six diverse squadrons that train, equip and provide agile combat mission support, including civil engineering, communications, contracting, transportation, fuels, supply, deployment readiness, personnel, security forces, and services for immediate worldwide deployment of combat support elements.
The Maintenance Group supports eight flying squadrons; the Medical Group ensures that personnel are medically ready to fight, provides timely, comprehensive medical services, and promotes both health and wellness of more than 50,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries.

Tucson, the second largest city in Arizona, is dominated by mountains in every direction. Tucson celebrates a diversity of cultures, architecture, and peoples. Its rich cultural heritage contains a unique blend of Native American, Spanish, Mexican and Anglo-American influences. Many of the cultural influences can be explored through historic sites, such as the Anza Trail, Tubac (Arizona’s first European settlement), the Spanish missions and churches, the many Western re-enactment towns, and the ancient Native American archaeological digs.
The city's main industries include electronics and missile production. Tucson is known as a premier health services center for the Southwest, the astronomy center of the world, and a popular tourism destination. It is also home of a premier research institution—the University of Arizona. The dry desert air and winter sunshine make Tucson a popular health and winter resort. Tucson maintains many excellent spas, shopping, museums, and art galleries. The city provides opportunities for outdoor dining and activities such as golfing, hiking, and horseback riding.

Luke Air Force Base is located seven miles west of the central business district of Glendale, in Maricopa County, Arizona. It is also about 15 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona.
Luke AFB is a major training base of the Air Education and Training Command, training pilots in the F-16 Fighting Falcon (soon to be replaced by the F-35 Lightning).
The host unit, the 56th Fighter Wing, is tasked to train the world's greatest F-16 fighter pilots and maintainers, while deploying mission ready warfighters. The wing graduates more than 400 F-16 pilots and 470 crew chiefs annually. Its Medical Group serves more than 84,000 beneficiaries in the Phoenix area.

The Glendale / Phoenix area is a combination of diverse cities containing a unique mix of modern, historic, cultural, outdoor, and athletic attractions. The area’s heritage can be seen throughout the city, from shopping in Historic Downtown Glendale or spending an evening at the Orpheum Theatre, to exploring the remains of a 1,500-year-old Hohokam village and touring historic neighborhoods. Many artistic and cultural events are offered by the Central Arizona Museum Association, providing more than 50 museums in the surrounding area.
Located in Central Arizona’s “Valley of the Sun,” the Glendale / Phoenix area has a variety of outdoor and athletic opportunities. It offers miles of scenic trails and acres of parks and nature preserves for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, or camping. Phoenix is home to several professional sports franchises. Thanks to the favorable climate, fifteen Major League Baseball teams conduct spring training in the metro Phoenix area in what is known as The Cactus League. Phoenix benefits greatly from seasonal tourism and recreation, such as the golf industry.
Major employment opportunities are through the government and numerous high-tech and telecommunications companies. Occupants: 314th Airlift Wing
Little Rock Air Force Base is located approximately 17 miles northeast of Little Rock, Arkansas. It is the largest C-130 base in the Air Force and the only C-130 training base for the Department of Defense, training C-130 pilots, navigators, flight engineers, and loadmasters from all branches of the US military, as well as 28 allied nations, in tactical airlift and aerial delivery. The base is populated by over 6,000 military personnel and another 2,000 civilians.
Little Rock AFB is the home of C-130 Combat Airlift. The 19th Airlift Wing is the host unit, which reports to the Air Mobility Command. The wing provides the largest C-130 Hercules transport fleet in the world, supplying humanitarian airlift relief to victims of disasters, to airdropping supplies and troops into the heart of contingency operations in hostile areas. There are three major partner units located here: the 314th Airlift Wing, which reports to Air Education and Training Command; the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard, which also reports to AETC; 22nd Air Force/Detachment 1 reports to the Air Force Reserve Command. Additionally, the 29th Weapons Squadron reports to Air Combat Command, the 96th Aerial Port Squadron reports to Air Force Reserve Command, and the 123rd Intelligence Squadron and the 154th Weather Flight are geographically separate units of the Arkansas Air National Guard.
Work at Little Rock AFB is performed by personnel in a variety of training and logistics technical, administrative, and professional positions, primarily in support of air transport training.

The geographical, political, and financial center of Arkansas, Little Rock is at the meeting point of the state's two major regions, the northwestern hills and the eastern Delta. Many major corporations are headquartered in Little Rock, including Dillard's Department Stores, Windstream Communications and Acxiom. Major employers throughout Little Rock include Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Baptist Health Medical Center, Entergy, Dassault Falcon Jet, Raytheon, Siemens, AT&T Mobility, Kroger, Euronet Worldwide, L'Oréal Paris, Timex, and UAMS.
The city of Little Rock contains many historical, cultural, and educational attractions. Downtown Riverfront Park hosts the annual Riverfest music festival and is home to the La Petite Roche (the landmark for which the city is named). The Arkansas Arts Center, the state's largest cultural institution, is a museum of art and an active center for the visual and performing arts. The William J. Clinton Presidential Center includes the Clinton presidential library and the offices of the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton School of Public Service. The campuses of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences are located within Little Rock.

March Joint Air Reserve Base is located in Riverside County, California, between the cities of Riverside and Moreno Valley. It is the home to the Air Force Reserve Command's 4th Air Force Headquarters and the 452d Air Mobility Wing. In addition to multiple units of the Air Force Reserve Command supporting the Air Mobility Command, Air Combat Command, and Pacific Air Forces, March is also home to units from the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and the California Air National Guard.
Civilian agency flight activities include a permanently based U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air Unit, as well as a California Department of Forestry air unit that uses the base on an intermittent basis.
Work at March Joint Air Reserve Base is performed by personnel in a variety of technical, administrative, and professional positions supporting Reserve headquarters and combat command activities.

Riverside, known as the city of arts and innovation, is the home of several exciting events, such as Smithsonian Week and the Mariachi Festival. Riverside's close proximity to Hollywood, combined with its many unique architectural features, has made it a frequent filming choice by Hollywood film studios. The Mission Inn has been a particularly favorite backdrop and is also the location of the annual Riverside Festival of Lights. The "World's Largest Paper Cup" can be found in front of the Dixie Corporation warehouse/manufacturing building.
The Riverside / Moreno Valley area is home to four nationally recognized higher education institutions: California Baptist University, California Southern Law School, La Sierra University, and the University of California Riverside. Los Angeles Air Force Base, located in El Segundo, California is the home of the Air Force Space Command's Space and Missile Systems Center. The center manages the research, development and acquisition of military space systems.
Also located at the base is the 61st Air Base Wing, which provides support functions for the base, including medical, civil engineering, communications, contracting, chaplain, security, logistics, personnel, readiness and quality-of-life services impacting 84 units and more than 204,000 active duty, civilian and retired personnel in the Los Angeles area—including the Space and Missile Systems Center.
The many units at the base include the Global Positioning Systems Directorate (a joint-service, multinational, civil/military, systems directorate with more than 700 DoD/contractor personnel responsible for development, launch and sustainment of the Global Positioning System), the Space Superiority Systems Directorate, the Launch and Range Systems Directorate, the Space-Based Infrared Systems Directorate , the Defense Weather Systems Directorate, the Satellite Control and Network Systems Division, the MILSATCOM Systems Directorate (handling military satellite communications), the Missile Defense Systems Division, the Space Development and Test Directorate, and the Space Radar Office.

El Segundo, as a city within Los Angeles County, is able to take advantage of the economic, entertainment, and educational opportunities available in the surrounding area. The economy of Los Angeles is driven by international trade, entertainment, aerospace, technology, petroleum, fashion, apparel, and tourism. Attractions to the Los Angeles area are many including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Kodak Theatre, Griffith Observatory, Getty Center, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard, and more. Los Angeles is home to California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA); California State University; University of Southern California; and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The area also hosts a number of professional sports teams.
More than 50% of the satellites and vehicles in space have been designed and or constructed in El Segundo. El Segundo has many aviation-related and petroleum-related industries and operations. Numerous Fortune 500 companies make El Segundo their home, including Chevron, Mattel, Merisel, Motorola, Oracle, Unocal, Sun Microsystems, DirectTV, Raytheon, Hughes, and others. The school districts within El Segundo are ranked as tops in the state.
Occupants: Air Force Flight Test Center
Edwards Air Force Base occupies 470 square miles on the borders of Kern, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties, California, in the Antelope Valley alongside California’s Mojave Desert. The base is next to Rogers Dry Lake, an endorheic desert salt pan whose hard dry lake surface provides a natural extension to Edwards' runways, some of which are 7.5 miles long. This large landing area, combined with excellent year-round weather, makes the base perfect for flight testing. The lake is a National Historic Landmark.
Designated as the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards is home to the 412th Test Wing, the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, and NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center. It is operated and maintained by the 95th Air Base Wing as a part of the Air Force Materiel Command. Almost every United States military aircraft since the 1950s has been at least partially tested at Edwards, and it has been the site of many aviation breakthroughs.
To support testing, AFFTC operates the Edwards Flight Test Range, which is comprised of 20,000 square miles of airspace, including three supersonic corridors and four aircraft spin areas. Besides flight test capabilities, Edwards has an array of ground test facilities. The Avionics and Test and Integration Complex, which includes the massive Benefield Anechoic Facility, allows for complete testing of a fully integrated avionics suite in a simulated flight environment, including electronic threats and computer software checkout.

Located 6.9 miles southwest of the central business district of North Edwards, California and seven miles due east of Rosamond, Edwards Air Force Base is a largely self-contained community of just over 2,000 residents, with the friendly atmosphere and usual amenities of a small town. Most civilian personnel live in Lancaster or Palmdale, a 35-to 45-minute drive south of the base, or in one of the smaller communities nearby.
Six colleges have offices on the base and offer courses and degrees to the Edwards community. Favorite outdoor activities include hiking and camping. In addition to the peaceful solitude, colorful sunsets and spectacular desert scenery of Edwards, the bright lights and entertainment of the cities of Bakersfield, Barstow, Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas are within easy driving distance.

Vandenberg Air Force Base is located in northern Santa Barbara County, California. Most civilian employees of the base live in the nearby communities of Lompoc, Vandenberg Village, Santa Ynez, Orcutt, and Santa Maria.
Vandenberg is home to the 14th Air Force, 30th Space Wing, 381st Training Group, the Western Launch and Test Range (WLTR), and elements of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency. The base is responsible for west coast satellite launches for military and commercial organizations, as well as testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles, which today includes only the Minuteman III ICBM. Vandenberg is assuming new roles with the creation of the Joint Functional Component Command for Space.
Vandenberg's location on the northern Pacific Ocean makes it possible to launch satellites into polar orbit more easily than from the Kennedy Space Center. This, along with its location relative to the jet stream, makes Vandenberg a good site to launch reconnaissance satellites.

The wing is equipped with the nation's fleet of U-2 Dragon Lady, RQ-4 Global Hawk and MC-12 Liberty reconnaissance aircraft and associated support equipment.

Buckley Air Force Base, located east of Denver in Aurora, Colorado, is home to the 460th Space Wing and more than 77 other units representing every branch of service and components—Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve.
The mission of the 460th Space Wing is to deliver global infrared surveillance, tracking, and missile warning for theater and homeland defense and provide combatant commanders with expeditionary warrior Airmen.
Buckley AFB also supports the Air Reserve Personnel Center (ARPC), which is physically located off Buckley at the former Lowry AFB in Denver. ARPC manages personnel records for the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command and maintains the virtual Personnel Center–Guard and Reserve, a Web-based portal for Air Guardsmen and Air Force Reservists.

Dover Air Force Base is located two miles southeast of the city of Dover, Delaware. It Is home to the 436th Airlift Wing of the Air Mobility Command (AMC), known as the "Eagle Wing," and the 512th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command, known as the “Liberty Wing.”
Dover AFB is also home to the largest military mortuary in the Department of Defense and the Joint Personal Effects Depot, which processes the personal effects of those lost. Tyndall Air Force Base is located 12 miles east of Panama City, in the Florida Panhandle. The base operating unit and host wing is the 325th Fighter Wing of the Air Combat Command.
Its primary mission is to train and project unrivaled combat power for F-22 Raptor pilots and maintenance personnel to support the combat Air Forces. Training for F-22 pilots is performed in the 43rd Fighter Squadron. Additionally, wing personnel manage the southeastern air combat maneuvering instrumentation range and provide mission-ready F-22 air dominance forces in support of the Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command/First Air Force contingency plans. The 325th Fighter Wing is host to more than 30 tenant organizations at Tyndall, including First Air Force (Air Forces Northern), which, as part of the bi-national North American Aerospace Defense Command and the United States Northern Command, provides airspace surveillance and control and directs all air sovereignty activities for the continental United States, Alaska, Canada and Mexico.
As the USNORTHCOM air component, AFNORTH conducts homeland defense and Defense Support of Civil Authorities operations to support local, state, regional, and federal emergency service agencies; and protect the American people and their way of life. The unit is a "Total Force" organization consisting of nearly 2,300 active-duty members, Guardsmen, Reservists, civilians and contractors around the United States.
Also at Tyndall is the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group, which reports to the 53rd Wing at nearby Eglin Air Force Base and manages offshore weapons ranges over the Gulf of Mexico and a variety of target drone programs.
The Air Force Civil Engineer Support Center is headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, and a branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate has facilities at the base.

Within Brevard County, Port Canaveral is the world's busiest cruise port. The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts provides a wide variety of musical, theatrical, and intellectual fare on a year-round basis.
Brevard County has a vibrant economy combining high-tech and other industry with tourism, agriculture, and other service businesses and organizations. It is the location of headquarters for businesses such as the Harris Corporation and Mercedes Homes and Holiday. Higher education is provided by Brevard Community College and Florida Institute of Technology.

Homestead Joint Air Reserve Base (formerly Homestead Air Force Base), is located approximately six miles east-northeast of Homestead in southeastern Florida.
The host unit at Homestead is the 482d Fighter Wing assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command Tenth Air Force. The wing is a fully combat-ready unit capable of providing F-16C multi-purpose fighter aircraft, along with mission ready pilots and support personnel, for short-notice worldwide deployment. The wing has more than 1,500 members, including approximately 1,200 reservists, of which 250 are full-time reservists, in addition to 300 full-time civilians.
Tenant activities at Homestead ARB include a detachment of the 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard with scramble capability; Headquarters, U.S. Special Operations Command South, the special operations component of U.S. Southern Command; the 50th Area Support Group, Florida Army National Guard; the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team Miami; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Miami Air Branch, whose aircraft conduct drug enforcement air interdiction missions from Homestead ARB.

Homestead lies near the southern-most tip of Florida causing it to experience a subtropical monsoon climate. Being nestled between Everglades National Park to the west and Biscayne National Park, the Florida Keys, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south makes Homestead a viable destination for visitors. The area has attracted enterprises such as the Homestead Miami Speedway, Wal-Mart, Sedano's, Home Depot, Office Depot and many more.
Homestead is thirty miles south of the exciting city of Miami, a major center and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. Homestead is home to Miami-Dade College (Homestead Campus) and is within seven miles of the University of Miami and Florida International University. It is primarily a Miami suburb and a major agricultural area but has an emerging technology-based economy. Moody Air Force Base is located about nine miles northeast of Valdosta, Georgia.
Moody is home to the 23d Air Combat Wing, which executes worldwide close air support, force protection, and combat search and rescue operations in support of humanitarian interests, United States national security, and the global war on terrorism.
Other tenant units at Moody include the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing, a non-flying active support wing that includes the 820th Base Defense Group, a Force Protection unit for initial U.S. "first-in" forces, and the 3d Air Support Operations Group, a tactical command control combat support unit located at Fort Hood, Texas.

Located in the far southern portion of the state, near the Florida line, Valdosta is a commercial center of South Georgia with numerous manufacturing plants. The surrounding area produces tobacco and naval stores (particularly turpentine) as well as pine lumber and pulpwood. Valdosta is the home of Valdosta State University (the site of the Georgia Governor's Honors Program), an extension of Georgia Military College, and Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.
The surrounding area offers opportunities for outdoor activities, with many parks, hiking paths, biking trails, and lakes accenting the local terrain. Additionally, the Wild Adventures Water and Theme Park draws families to the community each year.
Historical architecture is seen throughout Valdosta’s four National Register Historic Districts and in the well-known Crescent House and Gardens. Nearby Remerton Mill Village is a restored mill community that is now the location of a variety of specialty shops and restaurants. The town celebrates its rich history and showcases the local culture at such places as the Lowndes County Historical Society and Theatre Guild Valdosta.

Robins Air Force Base is located in Houston County, Georgia, just east of and adjacent to the city of Warner Robins, 18 miles south-southeast of Macon, Georgia, and about 100 miles south-southeast of Atlanta.
Robins is home to Air Force Materiel Command's Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, which is the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software, and avionics and accessories components.
The host unit at Robins is the 78th Air Base Wing, which provides services and support for the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, as well as 689th Combat Communications Wing; the 116th Air Control Wing; 461st Air Control Wing; Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command; and other units.

Centrally located in the heart of Georgia, Warner Robins is surrounded by mountains and seacoasts, busy metros, and lazy heartlands. Warner Robins is nicknamed the "International City," as numerous residents come into the area from around the world because of the base. The multi-cultural influences of the residents can be seen in the many choices in cuisine, entertainment and shopping.
With more than 25 shopping centers, 2,000 retail businesses, and two enclosed malls (the Galleria and the Houston Mall), Warner Robins is a favored shopping stop for people throughout the region. The area has more than 100 churches and 140 civic and service clubs, hosting shows (dog shows, horse shows, antique shows, boat shows, coin shows, car shows, flower shows, etc.) year-round. The Warner Robins Art Association provides numerous opportunities to become involved in the arts, from the Children's Theatre to viewing local art at the Galleria. The Mossy Creek Barnyard Arts and Crafts Festival, held twice a year, and the Santa Claus parade are major events within the city.

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is a joint military base of the United States Navy and Air Force located in the City and County of Honolulu on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The airfield on JBPHH shares its runways with the adjacent Honolulu International Airport under a shared-use agreement that established a single airport complex. It is currently home to the Air Force's 15th Wing.

Components of the Native Hawaiian culture continue to be seen within the values and traditions of the people and in the surrounding architecture, such as the royal ʻIolani Palace. Serving as the transportation, international, business, and trading hubs of the Hawaiian Islands, Honolulu's economy is also impacted by tourism, military defense, research and development, and manufacturing.
The city and surrounding island offer a number of activities and attractions that are enjoyed year-round due to the warm climate. Waikīkī, the tourist district of Honolulu, offers the Honolulu Ala Moana Center, the "World's largest open air shopping center," as well as surfing, snorkeling, and sunbathing on Waikīkī Beach. Mountain Home Air Force Base is located in southwestern Idaho, 12 miles southwest of the town of Mountain Home, which is 40 miles southeast of Boise.
The host unit at Mountain Home since 1972 has been the 366th Fighter Wing of the Air Combat Command. The base's primary mission is to provide combat airpower and combat support capabilities to respond to and sustain worldwide contingency operations.
The wing is composed of four groups and three operational fighter squadrons. In addition, the 726th Air Control Squadron gives an air picture to the aircraft as they train. An active Idaho Air National Guard unit, the 266th Range Squadron, controls and maintains emitter sites within the 7,412-square-mile operational training range located in southern Idaho.

Mountain Home is a vibrant rural town with a strong sense of family values and community. Residents support a number of major events, including the Parade of Lights, the Super-safe Halloween Carnival, and Air Force Appreciation Day, one of the Idaho's largest parades.
Set between the Danskin and Owyhee Mountains, the area is abundant in recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, motorcycle and snowmobile trails, and hunting for game bird and big game. CJ Strike Dam and Anderson Ranch Dam provide boating, swimming, fishing, etc. The city also has a great recreational department with year-round activities for all ages, such as soccer, softball, and basketball.
Mountain Home Air Force Base is the largest employer in the area. Additional key employers are the Marathon Cheese Corporation, the School District, Simplot Land and Livestock, Elmore Medical, WalMart, the City and County Government offices, and dairies. Agriculture is a mainstay of the economy. Boise State University has partnered with Mountain Home Air Force Base to offer residents of the area college courses on base, as well as transportation to BSU’s main Boise campus.

Scott Air Force Base is located near Belleville, Illinois, part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The base’s primary mission is the command and control of all logistics of the United States military in air, over land, and across the sea. The Scott military and civilian team sets policies and executes all air mobility operations, including such activities as refueling missions, aeromedical evacuation and logistics, and related planning service to meet numerous military and humanitarian needs.

The St. Louis Symphony, housed at Powell Symphony Hall, is the second oldest in the nation, and the Muny, located within Forest Park, is an amphitheater that seats more than 11,000 for outdoor performances each summer season. McConnell's primary mission is to provide global reach by conducting air refueling and airlift where and when needed.

Wichita, the largest city in Kansas, lies on the Arkansas River near the western edge of the Flint Hills of the Great Plains. As the "Air Capital of the World," Wichita is home to aircraft corporations Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft, Learjet, Spirit AeroSystems, Airbus, and Boeing. Wichita's principal industrial sectors are manufacturing, education, and healthcare. Three universities have their main campuses in Wichita: Wichita State University, Friends University, Newman University and Wichita Area Technical College.
Old Town is Wichita's premier entertainment district, with nightclubs, distinctive restaurants, live concerts, quaint specialty shops, museums, parks, and a Saturday farmer's market. The Wichita River Festival, one of Kansas's largest and longest continuously-running festivals, features over 70 events, from musical entertainment and traveling exhibits to parades and fireworks. The Tallgrass Film Festival draws an estimated 100 independent feature and short films from all over the world. Barksdale Air Force Base is located approximately 4.72 miles east-southeast of Bossier City, near Shreveport, Louisiana.
The host unit at Barksdale is the 2d Bomb Wing, the oldest Bomb Wing in the Air Force. It is assigned to the Air Force Global Strike Command's Eighth Air Force. The wing is equipped with the B-52H Stratofortress bomber. It provides flexible, responsive, global combat capability, autonomously or in concert with other forces, and trains all Air Force Global Strike Command and Air Force Reserve Command B-52 crews.
More than 15,000 active-duty, Air Force Reserve members and civilians make up Barksdale's workforce. About 44 B-52 Stratofortress aircraft are also assigned to the wing.
Other assigned units at Barksdale include the Air Force Global Strike Command; Headquarters, Eighth Air Force; 307th Bomb Wing (Air Force Reserve Command); 917th Fighter Group (Air Force Reserve Command); 49th Test and Evaluation Squadron, 8th Information Warfare Flight, and the 26th Operational Weather Squadron.

Bossier City sits on a low elevation overlooking the Red River. Pine forests, cotton fields, wetlands, and waterways mark the outskirts of the city. Once a major player in United States oil business, Bossier City's occupations now mainly are focused in the service industries. The leading industries are educational, health, and social services; arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation, and food services; and retail trade.
The famed Louisiana Boardwalk along the Red River provides outlet shopping, theater, bowling, riverfront dining, carousel and trolley rides, dancing fountains. Bossier City is also home to three major riverboat resorts. Horse racing is available at Louisiana Downs. The CenturyTel Center has hosted top musical performers, as well as rodeos, arena football, hockey, ice shows, and children's entertainment.
Occupants: 911th Airlift Wing
Pittsburgh IAP Air Reserve Station is located 12.1 miles west-northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
It is the home station of the Air Force Reserve Command's 911th Airlift Wing. The 911th is part of the 22nd Air Force, and its 758th Airlift Squadron flies the C-130H2 Hercules transport. The wing includes approximately 1,220 Air Force Reserve members and employs approximately 320 civilians, including more than 180 Air Reserve Technicians holding dual civilian and military positions. If mobilization occurs, 911 Airlift Wing units deploy as part of the Air Mobility Command. The wing hosts an average of 20 military flight operations per day in its role as host to the region's defense center.
The base also is home to the 171st Air Refueling Wing of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. It operates sixteen KC-135T Stratotanker air refueling aircraft, providing air refueling and air mobility/strategic airlift services worldwide. The wing has over 400 full-time staff, consisting of Active Guard and Reserve, dual civilian-military status Air Reserve Technicians, and other USAF civilian employees, as well as over 1,000 "traditional" part-time Air National Guard personnel.

Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington, formerly Andrews Air Force Base, is a joint military airbase of the United States Air Force and United States Navy located in Prince George's County, Maryland, situated eight miles east of the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. The host unit, which is responsible for the majority of base support operations, is the 11th Wing.
Joint Base Andrews is most famously known as the home of the Presidential Airlift Group, which is responsible for the operation of the VC-25A aircraft, popularly known as Air Force One. Due to its close proximity to the capital and facilities, the base is frequently used by the President and Vice President, congressional delegations, foreign heads of state, and other high-ranking government and diplomatic officials.
More than 60 separate units and special missions are located at Andrews. The base covers 4,320 acres. More than 18,000 active duty military, reserve, guard, civilian employees, and family members are employed at or use the base.

Hanscom AFB is in Middlesex County, Mass., and touches the towns of Bedford, Concord, Lincoln and Lexington. It is approximately 20 miles northwest of Boston.
The host unit at Hanscom is the 66th Air Base Group, assigned to the Air Force Materiel Command. The primary tenant is the Electronic Systems Center (ESC), which manages the latest in command and control and information systems for the Air Force, the Department of Defense and our allies. The 66th provides services to ESC, Air Force Reserve, National Guard, and Department of Defense civilians who are assigned to the base, as well as providing services to several geographically separated units throughout the New England region.
In addition, Hanscom supports MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the MITRE corporation, and various other companies and groups related to the Department of Defense.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport Joint Air Reserve Station (MSPJARS) is located at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, 7.1 miles south-southeast of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The base is home to the United States Air Force Reserve 934th Airlift Wing "Flying Vikings" who fly the C-130 Hercules aircraft. The wing employs more than 1,300 Reservists, of which about 250 are full-time.
In addition to the Air Force Reserve, MSPJARS is the home of the Minnesota Air National Guard 133d Airlift Wing. Utilizing the C-130 Hercules the wing provides the active-duty Air Force with tactical airlift of troops, cargo, and medical patients anywhere in the world. Additionally, the 133rd is prepared to support the State of Minnesota with troops capable of assisting in a disaster.
The Minnesota National Guard Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ-MN) is a joint Army and Air National Guard command headquartered at MSPJARS. JFHQ-MN provides personnel, intelligence, operations, logistics, and resource guidance and support to the Major Commands in the Minnesota National Guard: 34th (Red Bull) Infantry Division; 1/34th Brigade Combat Team; 34th Combat Aviation Brigade; 84th Troop Command; 347th Regional Support Group; 175th Regional Training Institute; 133rd Airlift Wing; and the 148th Fighter Wing at Duluth Air National Guard Base.

Occupants: 81st Training Wing
Keesler Air Force Base, located in Biloxi, Mississippi, is home of Headquarters, Second Air Force and the 81st Training Wing of the Air Education and Training Command. With five training squadrons, Keesler is one of the largest technical training wings in the AETC.
The 81st Training Wing is responsible for the technical training of Airmen in select skill areas immediately following their completion of basic training, as well as providing additional or recurrent training they will need for upcoming assignments. Keesler graduates more than 28,000 students per year. Much of the training they receive is in the field of electronics, such as wideband maintenance, ground radio, information technology, avionics, and cryptography.
The wing also trains personnel in meteorology, including observing, weather analysis and forecasting, radar operations, air traffic control, Aviation Resource Management, and tropical cyclone forecasting.
The 81st Medical Group, also located at the base, is comprised of seven squadrons that provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical and dental services to approximately 30,000 Defense Department beneficiaries. Other groups assigned to Keesler include the Air Force Reserve Command's 403rd Wing, which is responsible for the "Hurricane Hunters" mission and theater airlift support; the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit–Keesler and Keesler's Marine Corps Detachment that provide training in several disciplines for Navy and Marine personnel; and the 85th Engineering Installation Squadron, an Air Force Space Command unit.

The beachfront of Biloxi lies directly on the Mississippi Sound, with barrier islands scattered off the coast and into the Gulf of Mexico. The surrounding area offers numerous outdoor opportunities, from eco-tours on the Tchoutacabouffa or Pascagoula Rivers viewing native wildlife and vegetation, to jet skiing and kayaking in the Gulf. Columbus Air Force Base is located approximately nine miles north of Columbus, Mississippi.
The host unit at Columbus AFB is the 14th Flying Training Wing assigned to the Air Education and Training Command. The wing's mission is to provide specialized undergraduate pilot training for U.S. Air Force and coalition officers.
One third of the pilots in the Air Force today went through basic and primary flight training at Columbus AFB. Columbus AFB is home to the third busiest military air traffic control facility in the world.

Whiteman Air Force Base is located approximately two miles south of Knob Noster, Missouri, 70 miles east-southeast of Kansas City.
Whiteman is a joint-service base, with Air Force, Army and Navy units. Its host unit is the U.S. Air Force's 509th Bomb Wing. Tenant units include the Missouri Air National Guard's 131st Bomb Wing, the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 442nd Fighter Wing, the Missouri Army National Guard's 1/135th Aviation Battalion and the U.S. Navy Reserve's Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 114.
Whiteman is the only permanent base for the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, designed to be employed to strike high-value targets that are either out of range of conventional aircraft or considered to be too heavily defended for conventional aircraft to strike without a high risk of loss. Whiteman can launch combat sorties directly from Missouri to any part of the globe, engaging adversaries with nuclear or conventional weapon payloads.

The city of Knob Noster is a small, rural community located on the well-traveled U.S. Highway 50. The convenience of the highway allows for easy travel to Sedalia (home of the Missouri State Fair), Truman Lake, and other opportunities for arts, festivals, education, and outdoor activities. State Fair Community College and Central Missouri State University are less than ten minutes away from the city. Knob Noster State Park offers activities such as hiking, camping, and boating on one of the three small lakes.

Malmstrom Air Force Base, located adjacent to Great Falls, Montana, is the home of the 341st Missile Wing of the Air Force Global Strike Command.
Malmstrom is one of three US Air Force Bases that operate, maintain, and secure the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The 341st Missile Wing reports directly to Twentieth Air Force at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. It is part of Global Strike Command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.
Malmstrom is also home to the 819th/219th RED HORSE Squadron, which provides a highly mobile, rapidly deployable, civil engineering response force that is self-sufficient to perform heavy damage repair required for recovery of critical Air Force facilities and utility systems, and aircraft launch and recovery. In addition, it accomplishes engineer support for bed down of weapon systems required to initiate and sustain operations in an austere bare base environment, including remote hostile locations. The squadron is composed of approximately two-thirds active-duty and one-third reserve personnel.

Great Falls takes its name from the series of five waterfalls that the Lewis and Clark Expedition had to portage around over a ten mile stretch. Great Falls is nicknamed the "Electric City" because of the five hydroelectric dams that are in the nearby vicinity along the Missouri River. The city features phenomenal paved trails, River's Edge Trail, and park paths connecting the many parks and attractions throughout the city with surrounding waterfalls and reservoirs.

Offutt Air Force Base is located near Omaha, and lies adjacent to Bellevue in Sarpy County, Nebraska. It is the headquarters of the U.S. Strategic Command, the Air Force Weather Agency, and the 55th Wing of the Air Combat Command, the latter serving as the host unit.
The 55th Wing is composed of five groups at Offutt and at various locations worldwide. Its mission is to provide dominant intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; electronic attack; command and control; and precision awareness to national leadership and warfighters across the spectrum of conflict any time, any place.
The U.S. Strategic Command is charged with space operations (such as military satellites); information operations (such as information warfare); missile defense, global command and control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR); global strike and strategic deterrence (the United States nuclear arsenal); and combating weapons of mass destruction.

Nellis Air Force Base, part of the Air Combat Command, is located approximately 7.1 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. Its host wing, the 99th Air Base Wing, oversees day-to-day operations and provides support for more than 10,000 personnel assigned to Nellis AFB and the Nevada Test and Training Range.
A major tenant, the 57th Wing, provides advanced combat training for composite strike forces, which includes every type of aircraft in the Air Force inventory. Training is commonly conducted in conjunction with air and grounds units of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and allied forces from throughout the world. Nellis also conducts operational testing and develops tactics and supports combat search and rescue and remotely piloted aircraft operations worldwide.
Nellis is also home to the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron, the “Thunderbirds.”
The base itself covers more than 14,000 acres, and its vast ranges provide 15,000 square miles of airspace for flying operations. Because of its size and breadth of mission, the base is home to more squadrons than any other base in the Air Force. Nellis' work force of approximately 12,000 military and civilian people makes it one of the largest single employers in southern Nevada.

Home of the Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas boasts nineteen of the world's twenty-five largest hotels, attracting thirty-seven million tourists each year with the flamboyant entertainment they offer.
The hotels, designed with themes ranging from the Egyptian pyramids to Paris and New York, are known for casinos, entertainment, shopping, luxury accommodations, and fine dining. A growing retirement and family city, Las Vegas is the most populous city in Nevada. The primary drivers of the Las Vegas economy are tourism, gaming, and conventions, which in turn feed the retail and restaurant industries. Creech Air Force Base is located one mile north of the central business district of Indian Springs, Nevada, about 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas. The host unit is the 432d Air Expeditionary Wing, which oversees operations of ten flying squadrons, three maintenance squadrons, and MQ-9 Reapers and MQ-1 Predators.
Along with being the aerial demonstration training site for the Air Force Thunderbirds, the base plays a major role in the ongoing War on Terror. It is home to the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft, which are used regularly in Afghanistan.
Units at Creech include the 799th Air Base Group, 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron, and the 556th Test and Evaluation Squadron.

Throughout the area evidence of the former weapons testing can be seen at the Nevada Test Site and "Atomic View Trailer Court." McGuire Air Force Base is located in Southern New Jersey, approximately 35 miles east of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On October 1, 2009, McGuire officially became part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Base officials refer to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as "JB MDL".
The host unit at JB MDL is the 87th Air Base Wing, assigned to the Air Mobility Command United States Air Force Expeditionary Center. The wing provides installation management to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and mission-ready, expeditionary Airmen to support Unified Combatant Commanders in ongoing military operations. The wing consists of more than 3,100 officers, enlisted, and civilian personnel from the Air Force, Army and Navy.

Holloman Air Force Base is located six miles southwest of the central business district of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The base is the home of the 49th Wing of the Air Combat Command supporting national security objectives with mission-ready F-22 Raptors, an Air Transportable Medical Clinic, and bare-base assets that can be deployed.
The wing deploys combat-ready and mission-support forces supporting Air Expeditionary Force operations, overseas contingency operations, and peacetime contingencies. It includes the 49th Materiel Maintenance Group, which maintains and deploys all equipment needed to build a "bare-base" airfield, and a detachment of the 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron, which maintains and operates Full Scale Aerial Target drone aircraft.

Alamogordo is a desert community lying in the Tularosa Basin, bordered on the east by the Sacramento Mountains. Alamogordo provides a large number of recreational and leisure facilities for its citizens, including a large park in the center of the city, many smaller parks scattered throughout the city, a golf course, Alameda Park Zoo, a network of walking paths, Alamogordo Public Library, and a senior citizens' center. The New Mexico Museum of Space History, Lincoln National Forest, and White Sands National Monument are in or near the city. The city also features an annual hot-air balloon festival, and nearby skiing.
Alamogordo is the economic center of Otero County, primarily focusing on the service and retail industries, driven by tourism, Holloman AFB, and a concentration of military retirees. It is home to New Mexico State University at Alamogordo, a two-year community college established in 1958.

Cannon Air Force Base is located approximately seven miles southwest of Clovis, New Mexico. It is under the jurisdiction of Air Force Special Operations Command.
The host unit at Cannon is the 27th Special Operations Wing assigned to AFSOC. The wing plans and executes specialized and contingency operations using advanced aircraft, tactics and air refueling techniques to infiltrate, exfiltrate and resupply Special Operations Forces. They also provide intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and close air support capabilities for SOF operations.
The wing has four groups: The 27th Special Operations Group, which conducts infiltration, exfiltration, combat support, tilt-rotor aerial refueling, and other special missions; the 27th Special Operations Maintenance Group, which includes four maintenance squadrons; the 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group, which provides base support and services activities, including housing, facility construction and maintenance, food service, law enforcement, fire protection, communications, personnel support, lodging, recreation, environmental management, contracting, supply, transportation, logistics plans and other base services; and The Medical Group, which provides the best medical care possible to the troops.

Clovis, largely an agricultural town, is home to the Norman Petty Recording Studio and noted for its role in early rock music history. The annual Clovis Music Festival is a high-profile event within the area. The city boasts having schools that are second to none, great family activities, beautiful parks and recreational facilities that include an outstanding zoo, the Hillcrest Park Zoo. Near Clovis is Blackwater Draw, internationally recognized archeological site for its "Clovis Points," evidencing that Clovis Man found this area an ideal location in prehistoric times.

Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station is a joint-use facility with Niagara Falls International Airport. It is home to the Air Force Reserve Command's (AFRC) 914th Airlift Wing, whose 328th Airlift Squadron operates Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft from the airfield. The New York Air National Guard's 107th Airlift Wing shares the 914th AW's C-130 aircraft.
The AFRC units are under the jurisdiction of the United States Air Force 22d Air Force, headquartered at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.
Also located at the station is the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), encompassing all five branches of the U.S. United States Military.

Pope Field is located 12 miles northwest of the central business district of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Formerly named Pope Air Force Base, on March 1, 2011, as part of the BRAC reorganization, it became part of Fort Bragg, NC and assumed the name it held before becoming a United States Air Force base, Pope Field.
USAF missions at Pope Field range from providing strategic contingency outload support for Fort Bragg forces, to tactical airlift support for global combatant commanders, air power advisory support for the XVIII Airborne Corps, Combat Controller training, and Air Force Special Tactics.
The 43d Airlift Wing provides critical Rapid Global Mobility support for the United States Air Force. Fayetteville, known as “America’s Hometown,” is a city rich in history. In 1789, North Carolina ratified the U.S. Constitution in Fayetteville. Fayetteville is home to Fayetteville State University, once run by famous African American novelist Charles Chestnutt. George Herman Ruth acquired his nickname “Babe” when he hit his first professional homerun at Fayetteville’s old Cape Fear Fairgrounds on Gillespie Street.
The area provides a number of historic attractions, including the Averasboro Battlefield and Museum, the Chicora Civil War Cemetery, the Confederate First Line Wayside, three antebellum plantation houses (all used as field hospitals during the battle), and several monuments.
Fayetteville offers an array of cultural events, performing arts and galleries featuring local artisans, museums, live music, and nightlife. Cape Fear Botanical Gardens, an eighty-acre garden, provides scenic trails throughout the gardens and the bluffs overlooking the Cape Fear River. Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, located within the city limits of Goldsboro, North Carolina, about an hour southeast of Raleigh, is home to the 4th Fighter Wing of the Air Combat Command and the 916th Air Refueling Wing, an Air Force Reserve Command unit operationally assigned to the Air Mobility Command.
Seymour Johnson accomplishes its training and operational missions with F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft assigned to four squadrons. Two squadrons are capable of deploying worldwide on short notice and immediately generating combat power, and the other squadrons are responsible for training all F-15E aircrews for the U.S. Air Force.
The 916th Air Refueling Wing supports routine refueling missions for other Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied aircraft under the direction of the 4th Air Force and Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command.

Goldsboro is situated in North Carolina's Coastal Plain and is bordered on the south by the Neuse River and the west by the Little River. Located near Emerado, North Dakota, approximately 16 miles west of Grand Forks city, Grand Forks Air Force Base hosts a variety of Air Force activities. It is home to the 319th Air Base Wing, which is part of the Air Force's Air Mobility Command.

Grand Forks is a city of nearly 53,000 located on the western banks of the Red River of the North, at the eastern edge of North Dakota. Historically a farming center, the city's economy now encompasses higher education, defense, health care, manufacturing, food processing, and scientific research. The city's University of North Dakota is the oldest institution of higher education in the state. Minot Air Force Base is located 13 miles north of the city of Minot, North Dakota. It is the home of two major wings: the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing, both of the Air Force Global Strike Command.
The 5th Bomb Wing is the host unit at Minot AFB; its commander is dual-hatted as the installation commander, and the unit is responsible for all base services, such as housing/billeting, medical, MWR, library, Officers' Club, etc., and supporting the 91st Missile Wing. The primary mission of the 5th Bomb Wing is to maintain and operate B-52H bombers assigned to the 23d Bomb Squadron and the 69th Bomb Squadron. Minot AFB is one of two remaining bases with B-52s.
The 91st Missile Wing is responsible for maintaining the Minuteman III nuclear missiles located in three main fields across North Dakota. It is one of the Air Force's three operational intercontinental ballistic missile units. In addition to its missiles, the wing also operates a squadron of UH-1N Twin Huey helicopters in support of missile and launch control sites.

Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio is the home of the Air Force Materiel Command, one of the major commands of the Air Force. It is the location of a major Air Force Medical Center, the Air Force Institute of Technology, the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Air Force Museum. It also houses a major Air Base Wing and the Aeronautical Systems Center, which is a major development and acquisition product center. Wright Patterson’s storied history includes being the original flight-testing area for the Wright Brothers, who resided in nearby Dayton.

Youngstown-Warren Air Reserve Station is in Vienna Center, Ohio, 11 miles north of Youngstown and 10 miles east of Warren. The installation is located at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
The host wing for the installation is the 910th Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve Command unit operationally run by the Air Mobility Command. It has twelve C-130H Hercules aircraft operated by two C-130 squadrons. The wing is a unique organization in the Air Force in that a portion of the wing's mission is devoted to the Department of Defense's only fixed-wing aerial spray mission.
The 910th has nearly 1,450 military personnel—approximately 300 Air Reserve Technician (ART) personnel, augmented by approximately 1,150 "traditional" part-time Air Force Reservists and 150 full-time civilians. The installation also hosts a Navy Operational Support Center and a collocated Marine Corps Reserve Center that are home to nearly 400 Navy and Marine Corps Reservists.

Tinker Air Force Base is located in the southeast Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma. The base has more than 26,000 military and civilian employees and is the largest single-site employer in the state of Oklahoma.
Tinker is the headquarters of the Air Force Materiel Command's Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, which is the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software and avionics and accessories components. The Air Force Materiel Command's Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) also maintains a presence at Tinker AFB.
The host unit at Tinker is the 72d Air Base Wing, which provides services and support for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center and its tenant organizations.
Tinker is also the home of the Navy's Strategic Communications Wing One, a Navy Air Wing that is fully integrated in the Air Force Base and employs more than 1,300 active-duty sailors and 100 contractors to provide maintenance, security, operations, administration, training and logistic support for the Navy's E-6B Mercury aircraft fleet. The Mercury aircraft enables the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense to directly contact submarines, bombers and missile silos enforcing the country's national security through nuclear deterrence.

Altus Air Force Base is located in southwestern Oklahoma, approximately four miles east-northeast of Altus, 55 miles west of Lawton, and 84 miles northwest of Wichita Falls, Texas.
The host unit is the 97th Air Mobility Wing, assigned to the Air Education and Training Command. The wing's mission is to provide C-17 Globemaster III and KC-135 Stratotanker formal school initial and advanced specialty training programs for up to 3,000 students annually.
The host unit at Tinker is the 72d Air Base Wing, which provides services and support for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center and its tenant organizations.
Altus AFB supports about 2,000 permanent military personnel. About 3,000 military personnel and their families live on base, and a large number of military personnel and their families live off base. The surrounding community has about 1,000 military retirees who depend on base facilities. The base provides direct employment for about 2,500 civilian personnel.

Charleston Air Force Base is located in North Charleston, South Carolina and is assigned to the Air Mobility Command. Part of a joint civil-military airport, Charleston AFB shares runways with Charleston International Airport for commercial airline aircraft operations on the south side of the airfield and general aviation aircraft operations on the east side. It makes up half of Joint Base Charleston.
Charleston Air Force Base is home to the 628th Air Base Wing, the host wing for installation support. The wing's primary duties are to provide installation support to 53 DoD and Federal agencies, servicing a total force of over 79,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents and retirees on Charleston AFB and Naval Weapons Station Charleston. It also provides mission-ready expeditionary Airmen to combatant commanders in support of joint and combined operations.

Ellsworth Air Force Base is located 10 miles east of Rapid City (population just over 67,100) and just north of Box Elder (population nearly 8,000).
The host unit at Ellsworth is the 28th Bomb Wing, which is assigned to the 12th Air Force under Air Combat Command. The mission of the 28th BW is to provide world class Airmen and expeditionary combat power. The 28th BW is home to 28 B-1B Lancers, and in 2012 will begin flying MQ-9 Reaper missions.

Ellsworth’s population of approximately 9,000 includes military members, family members and civilian employees. There are also about 3,800 military retirees in western South Dakota.

Arnold Air Force Base is located adjacent to the city of Tullahoma in south-central Tennessee, between Nashville and Chattanooga.
Named for “the father of the Air Force,” General Henry “Hap” Arnold, the base is home to the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), the most advanced and largest complex of flight simulation test facilities in the world. The center operates 58 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges, and other specialized units. AEDC is an Air Force Materiel Command organization.

Sheppard Air Force Base is located five miles north of the central business district of Wichita Falls, Texas. It is the largest and most diversified training base in the Air Education and Training Command.
The host unit at Sheppard is the 82d Training Wing, a non-flying wing that provides specialized technical training, medical, and field training for officers, Airmen, and civilians of all branches of the military, other DoD agencies, and foreign nationals.
The 80th Flying Training Wing, also at Sheppard, conducts the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program, the world's only multi-nationally manned and managed flying training program chartered to produce combat pilots for both the USAF and NATO. It is a uniquely manned multinational organization with a USAF wing commander and a German Air Force operations group commander in the top two leadership positions. Command and operations officers' positions in the flying training squadrons rotate among the participating nations, while the commander of the 80th Operations Support Squadron is always from the USAF.
Sheppard AFB shares one runway with Wichita Falls Municipal Airport under a joint civil-military arrangement.

Wichita Falls is a comfortable, family-oriented city conveniently located within two hours of two metropolitan areas with populations exceeding one million citizens: Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma City. The greater Wichita Falls area has 185 manufacturing companies producing products for major automotive manufacturers, oil and gas production, construction, aircraft manufacturers, food service providers, water recreation and more. It is home to Midwestern State University as well as branches of Vernon College and Wayland Baptist University. Wichita Falls is also home to the "world's littlest skyscraper," the Newby-McMahon Building.

Occupants: 7th Bomb Wing
Dyess Air Force Base is located approximately seven miles southwest of Abilene, Texas. It is a 6,409-acre base with over 13,000 military and civilian people. The base employs more than 5,000 people, making it the single largest employer in the area.
The host unit at Dyess is the 7th Bomb Wing, assigned to the Air Combat Command Twelfth Air Force. The wing performs combat training with the North American B-1B Lancer bomber and is one of only two B-1B Lancer strategic bomber wings in the United States Air Force.
Work at Dyess is performed by personnel in a wide variety of engineering, training, IT, medical, and other technical, administrative, and professional positions related to the base’s combat training and airlift responsibilities.

Abilene, self-described as "the Future Great City of West Texas," is the center of the area commonly referred to as the Texas Midwest or the Big Country. Abilene’s civic progressiveness and its function as a regional center for distribution, commerce, industry, transportation, and education provide an assortment of lodging, dining, cultural, and shopping opportunities typically found only in much larger cities.

Goodfellow Air Force Base is a non-flying base located in San Angelo, Texas, as part of The USAF Air Education and Training Command. The host unit at Goodfellow AFB is the Air Force's 17th Training Wing, which is part of the Second Air Force of the Air Education & Training Command. Goodfellow AFB includes four Groups, fifteen squadrons, nearly a dozen specialized staff agencies, more than a half dozen separate tenant units, as well as the Army's 344th Military Intelligence Battalion, Navy's Center for Intelligence Detachment, a Marine Corps training detachment and the Texas Air National Guard's 217th Training Squadron.
At Goodfellow, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines form an agile joint training environment to produce the best-trained service members in the world.
The wing also maintains a group and units geographically separated from Goodfellow. These are located at: Corry Naval Air Station, Florida, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and the Presidio of Monterey, California.
Goodfellow's mission is to "Train world-class Firefighting and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance warriors." Goodfellow's vision is to "Provide the DOD's most innovative and adaptive training environment to develop tomorrow's agile warriors." Training at Goodfellow is conducted by personnel in a variety of highly specialized training, cryptology, mathematics, and science positions, as well as other technical, administrative, and professional positions related to the base's fire-fighting, cryptologic and intelligence training mission.

In a 2006 survey conducted by Southern Living Travel and Vacations Readers Choice, San Angelo was listed as one of the Top 10 cities to visit and referred to as the "Jewel of West Texas." The survey highlighted the diversity of fine dining, San Angelo's Museum of Fine Arts with its astounding 20th-century ceramics collections, Buffalo Soldiers history and special events at Fort Conchos, home of the Concho Pearl, and the cities own brands of Western buckles and accessories. In addition, a cost of living index measured San Angelo's low housing costs (20 percent below national average) as a determining factor in creating a cost of living that is 80 percent of the national average.
Telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, and agriculture are the key industries in the area. Strong employers in San Angelo are Sitel, Verizon, Blue Cross, Johnson and Johnson, Conner Steel, Hirschfield Steel, and Martifer. San Angelo provides two institutes of higher learning, Angelo State University and a branch of Howard College.
While the city is considered an oasis in this part of Texas, its lower humidity, mild temperatures and clean air provide an excellent environment for outdoor living and recreation. Within the city, there are over 480 acres of public parks complemented by walking and jogging paths, botanical gardens, sports fields, tennis courts, golf courses, pedestrian bridges, the River Stage and even an international water lily display. The surrounding area is a sportsman's paradise with whitetail deer, wild turkey, javelina and a variety of game birds. Twin Buttes, Nasworthy and O.C. Fisher are the three lakes located around the city and provide year-round fishing, boating, skiing and camping activities. Two other lakes, Spence and O.H. Ivie, are within 40 miles of San Angelo.
The city enjoys celebrations and entertainment events. In February the annual San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo is held. March is the kick-off of the San Angelo Stampede indoor arena football season. In June, Fort Concho Frontier Days draws crowds to Fort Concho. Also in June is the beginning of the San Angelo Colts Baseball season.
In September, Fiestas Patrias celebrates Mexico's freedom from Spain. During the first weekend of December, the fort is decorated and visitors enjoy food, entertainment and arts and crafts shopping during Christmas at Old Fort Concho. Other events occur frequently at the convention center, the coliseum, city auditorium, Angelo State University and the Museum of Fine Arts. San Angelo is home to the longest continually operating civic theater in Texas. San Angelo's county library system and the Angelo State University library offer more than 900,000 volumes, paintings, films, videos, recordings and periodicals.
San Angelo, with three hospitals and physicians practicing in more than 200 specialties, is widely recognized as a regional medical center. The hospitals have services from cancer treatment to testing and surgical capabilities for cardiology patients, sports medicine, designated trauma, and neonatal intensive care. Most of the hospitals also operate small walk-in clinics in various locations around San Angelo.

Laughlin Air Force Base is located five miles east of the central business district of Del Rio, Texas, close to the border of the United States and Mexico.
Laughlin AFB, the largest pilot training base in the USAF, is home to the 47th Flying Training Wing of the Air Education and Training Command. On weekdays, the airfield sees more takeoffs and landings than any other airport in the country.

Del Rio is a border city connected with Ciudad Acuña, Mexico by the Lake Amistad Dam International Crossing and Del Río-Ciudad Acuña International Bridge. The United States Customs, Border Patrol, and National Park Service have had a significant impact on the region. Del Rio has campuses for Southwest Texas Junior College–Del Rio, Rio Grande College–Del Rio, and Park University.
Lake Amistad provides year-round, water-based recreation opportunities, including boating, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, and water-skiing, as well as other recreational opportunities for picnicking, camping, and hunting. Seminole Canyon State Historical Park and White Shaman Preserve offer opportunities to explore dozens of ancient petroglyphs. Located on the outskirts of San Antonio, Lackland Air Force Base is home to more than 120 Department of Defense and associate organizations, including the 37th Training Wing, the largest training wing in the U.S. Air Force. Lackland is the Air Force's only site for enlisted basic military training. It also offers professional and technical skills and English language training for members of the U.S. Air Force, other military services, government agencies, and allies.
Its four primary training functions graduate more than 86,000 students annually. Other major tenants include Air Reserve Command's 433rd Airlift Wing, the Texas Air National Guard 149th Fighter Wing, the 59th Medical Wing, the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency, and the 67th Network Warfare Wing.
Lackland provides basic training for all Airmen of the regular Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve. It also provides technical training in the fields of security and law enforcement, military working dog handling, combat arms, recruiting, supply, transportation, services, food preparation, and social actions. The Defense Language Institute English Language Center at Lackland services students from 117 countries, and the InterAmerican Air Forces Academy at Lackland trains and educates Latin American forces in Spanish to support national interests.

Brooks City-Base is a former United States Air Force base located in San Antonio, Texas, seven miles southeast of Downtown San Antonio.
In 2002 Brooks Air Force Base was renamed Brooks City-Base when the property was conveyed to the Brooks Development Authority as part of a unique project among local, state, and federal governments. The Brooks Development Authority is the owner, operator, and developer of the Brooks City-Base property, whose mission is to redevelop the property into a science, business, and technology center. The Air Force is currently the largest tenant at Brooks City-Base.
Major units are the 311th Air Base Group and the 311th Human Systems Wing. Together, their mission is to enhance and sustain human performance for dominant air and space power.
Tenant units are the Air Force Audit Agency and the Air Force Research Laboratory. The AF Audit Agency provides audit services to all levels of Air Force management and assesses Air Force financial stewardship and the accuracy of financial reporting. The Air Force Research Laboratory is operated by the USAF Materiel Command and dedicated to leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable aerospace warfighting technologies; planning and executing the Air Force science and technology program; and providing warfighting capabilities to United States air, space, and cyberspace forces.

Randolph Air Force Base is located at Universal City, Texas, adjacent to San Antonio.
The base serves as headquarters of the Air Education and Training Command, as well as the Air Force Personnel Center. It is known as "the Showplace of the Air Force" because of the Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture in which all structures were constructed.
Randolph's host wing is the 502 Air Base Wing. Its major flying unit is the 12th Flying Training Wing. Randolph conducts 24-hour-a-day flight training operations.
Other tenant units at Randolph include the Air Force Manpower Agency, an Air Force Office of Special Investigations Field Investigations unit, and the Air Force Recruiting Service.

Hill Air Force Base is a major U.S. Air Force Base located in northern Utah, just south of the city of Ogden. It is the third-largest employer in the state of Utah, excluding state government and higher education employers.
Hill AFB is the home of the Air Force Materiel Command's Ogden Air Logistics Center, which is the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software, avionics, and accessories components. It is one of the three USAF Air Logistics Centers. The Air Force Materiel Command's Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) also maintains a presence at Hill.
The host unit at Hill is the Air Force Material Command's 75th Air Base Wing, which provides services and support for the Ogden Air Logistics Center, its subordinate organizations, and about 60 associate units.

Located 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, Ogden is a gateway to nature from Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Wolf Mountain ski resorts to the Wasatch Range offering foothill trails used for hiking, running, mountain biking, and sometimes snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Major scenic attractions to Ogden are Pineview Reservoir, Willard Bay State Park, Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, Ogden River Scenic Byway, Fort Buenaventra Park, Golden Spike National Historic Site, and Historic Ogden. The city also promotes the Foursite Film Festival, a downtown farmer's market, the Ogden Arts Festival, the Harvest Moon Festival, Ogden Winterfest, and the Ogden marathon. Ogden Stadium houses the annual "Hot Rocking 4th," a motorsports event.
Historically, Ogden was a major player in the development of the Transcontinental Railroad and continues to handle a great amount of freight rail traffic, which makes it a convenient location for manufacturing and commerce. The Internal Revenue Service has a large presence in Ogden and is the city's largest employer, with over 5,000 employees. Joint Base Langley–Eustis (JBLE), formed by the BRAC realignment, is composed of Langley Air Force Base and Fort Eustis. It is located in the greater Hampton Roads area of the Tidewater region of Virginia. Unlike other joint bases that share common perimeters, the two components are 17 miles apart. The installation is one of six Air Force-led joint bases in the country.
Langley Air Force Base is located three nautical miles north of the central business district of the city of Hampton, Virginia. It is the home of the 633d Air Base Wing, 1st Fighter Wing, and the 480th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing. It also hosts the field operating agency of the Global Cyberspace Integration Center, the 192D Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard, and Headquarters Air Combat Command.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is a joint military base of the United States Army and Air Force located approximately 13 miles southwest of Tacoma, Washington. The joint base was established on February 1, 2010 from the merger of two previously separate but geographically contiguous military bases: the Army's Fort Lewis and the Air Force's McChord Air Force Base.
Located adjacent to Lakewood and Parkland, Washington, JBLM McChord Field is home to the 62nd Airlift wing and the 446th Airlift Wing. The 1st Air Support Operations Group provides Air Liaison Officers for the Army’s I Corps.
Work at JBLM is performed by personnel in a variety of technical, administrative, and professional positions, including logistics and medical specialists, in support of the base’s airlift and air support missions.

Occupants: 92d Air Refueling Wing
Fairchild Air Force Base is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Spokane, Washington.
Fairchild is home to a wide variety of units and missions. Most prominent is its air refueling mission, with two wings, one active, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, and one Air National Guard, the 141st Air Refueling Wing in a classic association unit which flies the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker.
The host unit is the 92nd ARW assigned to 18th Air Force and Air Mobility Command, headquartered at Scott AFB, Ill. The wing is responsible for providing aerial refueling, as well as rapid and reliable passenger and cargo airlift and aero-medical evacuations. Fairchild directly supports Air Mobility Command's mission, providing global reach airpower and deploying expeditionary combat support forces in support of worldwide contingency requirements. The 92nd ARW capability of aerial refueling enhances the Air Force's ability to accomplish its primary missions of Global Reach and Global Power.
Team Fairchild encompasses more than 4,600 active-duty, Air National Guard, tenant unit members, and 1,100 civilian employees. Another major tenant organization is the Armed Force Reserve Center, comprises approximately 815 Army Guard and Reserve personnel assigned to 18 units with various missions.
The 92nd ARW is structured under four groups: Operations, Maintenance, Mission Support, and Medical, as wells as 14 staff agencies organized under the Director of Staff.
The 141st ARW is one of the oldest Air National Guard flying units in the nation. The wing is comprised of more than 1,000 citizen airmen, located at Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Washington.
The 141st ARW reports through the Washington Adjutant General to the Governor in order to respond to natural disasters and times of civil unrest. The state mission is to provide protection to life and property and to preserve peace, order, and public safety. Additionally, the unit's federal mission is to train, equip, and deploy forces to locations worldwide in support of specific contingency operations.
When mobilized by Congress or the U.S. President, the 141st fulfills its Constitutional role and supports Air Mobility Command's airlift and aerial refueling requirements under the 18th Air Force. The 141st trains to provide worldwide aerial refueling to United States and allied aircraft, counter-drug surveillance and interdiction, and combat support across the spectrum of conflict.

Near perfect," the Spokane area offers an abundance of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed in outlying natural areas, including miles of hiking trails, many lakes for fishing and watersports, and golf courses. The area has over 75 parks for sightseeing, the most notable being Riverfront Park, Manito Park and Botanical Gardens, Riverside State Park, and Mount Spokane State Park.
A cultural community, Spokane offers Broadway performances, intriguing art galleries, world-class museums, and powerful stage performances. Spokane is a major shopping hub for the surrounding area, providing sparkling new malls (River Park Square Mall), renovated historic buildings, unique boutiques, and well-known department stores. Spokane hosts the Lilac Festival, the Lilac Bloomsday Run, Spokane Hoopfest, and the Garland Village Arts and Music Festival. The city is home to Nishinomiya Japanese Garden and hosts Japan Week every year to celebrate the relationship with its sister-city, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
Natural resources have traditionally provided much of the economic activity for the Spokane area, a major center for the timber, agriculture, and mining industries in the region. Francis E. Warren Air Force Base is located approximately three miles west of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is one of three strategic missile bases in the United States.
Warren is the home of the 90th Missile Wing, assigned to the Twentieth Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command. The wing operates the LGM-30G Minuteman III ICBM, with launch facilities in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado. It is also the home of Twentieth Air Force, which commands all United States Air Force ICBMs.
Other tenant units at Warren are the 153rd Command and Control Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard; Wyoming Wing Headquarters of the Civil Air Patrol; the Area Defense Counsel; and a detachment of the Air Force office of Special Investigations.
Unlike most Air Force bases, Warren Air Force Base has no runway for fixed-wing aircraft. The only conventional airfield ever located at F. E. Warren AFB was a single dirt strip. The base does maintain an active heliport, which is primarily utilized by Air Force UH-1N Twin Huey helicopters of the 37th Helicopter Squadron to ferry missile launch crews and maintenance personnel to various launch control centers and missile silos surrounding the base.

Cheyenne has a multitude of cultural and recreational opportunities. The Civic Center hosts a theater season, numerous productions and the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra. Cheyenne is the home of the Cheyenne Frontier DaysTM, the largest outdoor rodeo in the nation and the pride of the city. The event features attractions such as parades, pancake breakfasts, western art shows, Native American arts and culture, night concerts and, of course, the famous rodeo itself.
The Cheyenne-Kiwanis Community House in Lions Park is the site for conferences, reunions and many other activities. The "Beaches of Cheyenne" are located along Sloan's lake, providing opportunities to fish, walk, bike and rent canoes or paddle boats. Lions Park features the Children's Spray Park and the Brimmer Amphitheater. Additional attractions to Cheyenne are the Union Pacific Depot, the Ice and Events Center, the Depot Plaza, the Cheyenne Symphony, the Botanic Gardens, the Greenway Trails and the Laramie County Library.
Government is the largest sector of Cheyenne's economy. Railroads remain a major economic force for the city, with both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific employing many residents. Additional key employers are Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Sierra Trading Post and Great Lakes Airlines. Cheyenne's high elevation, coupled with the abundance of wind, is transforming the region into a center for alternative energy with the addition of a great number of wind turbines. Cheyenne is home to Laramie County Community College and a branch of Institute of Business and Medical Careers.

Ramstein Air Base is located about 10 miles from the town of Ramstein, in the rural district of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Other nearby civilian communities include Ramstein-Miesenbach, just outside the base's west gate, and Landstuhl, about three miles from the west gate. The base serves as headquarters for the United States Air Forces in Europe and is also a North Atlantic Treaty Organization installation.
Fairchild is home to a wide variety of units and missions. Most prominent is its air refueling mission, with two wings, one active, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, and one Air National Guard, the 141st Air Refueling Wing in a classic association unit which flies the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker.
Besides the USAF, the installation's population includes Belgian, British, Canadian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian and Polish personnel.
The host unit is the 86th Airlift Wing. the. Its mission is to provide combat airlift and operate the Air Force's premier installation to enable and assure strategic capabilities.
Also residing at Ramstein is the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing, which rapidly establishes expeditionary airfield operations and communications; integrates joint fires and weather across the full spectrum of conflict; and provides theater-wide combat support and training.
Ramstein AB is part of the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), where more than 54,000 Americans and more than 5,400 US civilian employees in a wide variety of occupations live and work. U.S. organizations in the KMC also employ the services of more than 6,200 German workers. There are more than 16,200 military, U.S. civilians, and U.S. contractors assigned to Ramstein AB alone.

Spangdahlem Air Base's host 52nd Fighter Wing maintains, deploys, and employs F-16 Fighting Falcon and A/OA-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft and radar systems in support of NATO and the national defense directives. Andersen Air Force Base is located approximately four miles northeast of Yigo, the northernmost village of the United States territory of Guam.
The host unit at Andersen AFB is the non-flying 36th Wing, assigned to the Pacific Air Forces Thirteenth Air Force. The wing’s mission is to provide support to deployed air and space forces of USAF and foreign air forces to Andersen, and to support tenant units assigned to the base.
Andersen is one of four Bomber Forward Operating Locations in the Air Force. These locations provide forward support to bomber crews deploying overseas in Europe, Southwest Asia and in the Pacific.

Yigo is larger than any other village on the island in terms of area. It is historically one of Guam's richest farming areas due to the perfect combination of a rainy season from June to November and a dry season from December to May.

Located at the edge of the Marianas Trench, Guam is renowned for its vivid turquoise lagoons, deep sea currents, and water clarity making it well-suited to a variety of water sports.

Aviano Air Base is a NATO Air Base under U.S. Air Force administration in northeastern Italy. It is located in Aviano municipality, at the foot of the Carnic Alps, about 15 kilometers from Pordenone. Aviano's current mission is to conduct regional and expeditionary operations under NATO, SACEUR, or national tasking.
Aviano is hosted by the United States Air Force 31st Fighter Wing, which is a part of the United States Air Forces in Europe, a major command of the Air Force, and also the air component of the United States European Command.

Aviano is a town at the foot of the Dolomites mountain range in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. The rich soil of the area supports many different vineyards, orchards, and other produce. Fairs and festivals are held year-round, showcasing the local produce and wines.
A main attraction to the area is the remains of the 10th century Castle of Aviano, consisting of two towers, the mastio, and the walls. Additionally, there are many churches and cathedrals containing historic architecture and notable artwork, including the church of Santa Maria e Giuliana, the Cathedral of San Zenone, the church of St. Gregory, and the church Madonna della Monte. Skiing and mountaineering are popular at the Piancavallo ski resort at the foot of Monte Cavallo as well as innumerable sites in the nearby Alps.
Other attractions near Aviano include the cities of Gorizia, the castles and forts of Trieste along the border of Slovenia, the Roman ruins located at Grado, the beaches found at Lignano, and the Giant Caves a short drive away from Aviano.

Kadena Air Base is a United States Air Force base in the towns of Kadena and Chatan and the city of Okinawa, Japan. Kadena Air Base is the hub of U.S. airpower in the Pacific, and home to the USAF's 18th Wing and a variety of associate units. The base employs nearly 10,000 Americans and more than 3,000 Japanese employees and contractors.
The base hosts associate units from five other Air Force major commands, the United States Navy, and other Department of Defense agencies and direct reporting units. Associate units operate more than 20 permanently assigned, forward-based or deployed aircraft from the base on a daily basis.

Misawa Air Base is a United States military facility located three miles northeast of the railway station in Misawa, in the northern part of the island of Honshū, Japan. It is a Pacific Air Forces facility with the 35th Fighter Wing as its host wing.
Misawa is the only combined, joint service installation in the western Pacific. It houses three U.S. military services (Army, Navy, and Air Force), as well as the Japan Self-Defense Forces. The base is home to 5,200 US military personnel, as well as 350 US civilian employees and 900 Japanese national employees.
The 35th Fighter Wing conducts daily F-16 flight training to maintain its combat readiness edge. Its pilots fly air-to-air weapons delivery exercises over water and sharpen their air-to-ground skills using the Draughn Gunnery Range located 12 miles north of Misawa.
The 35th Fighter Wing also serves as the host unit to a variety of other tenant units representing three U.S. military services and those of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF)

Misawa is a small city located on the southern shore of picturesque Lake Ogawara. Misawa serves as a regional industrial and commercial center, with agriculture and commercial fishing playing secondary roles in the local economy.

Yokota Air Base is a United States Air Force base located in the city of Fussa, one of the 26 cities located in the Tama Area, or Western Tokyo, Japan. The base houses nearly 9,000 personnel and includes facilities for the broadcast center for the American Forces Network Tokyo radio service and a detachment of PACAF's Band of the Pacific.
The host unit at Yokota is the 374th Airlift Wing, currently used for airlift missions throughout East Asia. Associate and tenant units include U.S. Forces, Japan—a nonoperational, politico-military unit that serves as the USPACOM front for US-Japanese military discussions; the Fifth Air Force, which along with 13th Air Force, forms the air component to USPACOM; the 730th Air Mobility Squadron; the Air Force Band of the Pacific-Asia; Stars & Stripes; American Forces Network; U.S. Coast Guard Activities Far East (performing inspection of ships bound for U.S. ports for port control and safety reasons); and the 103rd Squadron, Civil Air Patrol.

Fussa is in the geographic center of the Tokyo Metropolis, bordered by the floodplains of the Tama River. The area along the river sports many parks, recreational facilities, and bicycle paths. Notable attractions to the area are Mount TakaoSan, Harajuku, Ome shiofune temple, Takahatafudou temple, Tachikawa Station, Showakinen Park, Yamanaka-Ko Lake, and the nightlife of Bar Row. The blooming cherry blossom trees cause the area to be home to a number of annual festivals.
A major attraction to the area is the annual Friendship Festival, when Yokota Air Base opens the gates to the Japanese community for food, events, and entertainment. A large portion of Fussa’s economy focuses on the nearby military bases and servicing those who live there. The city also serves as a bedroom community for central Tokyo and as a regional commercial center. Higher educational opportunities for those in the military and working for the Department of Defense, as well as for family members at Yokota, are available through several contracted academic institutions.

Lajes Field is a multi-use airfield, home to the Portuguese Air Force Base Aérea Nº4 and Azores Air Zone Command, a United States Air Force detachment (operated by the 65th Air Base Wing of United States Air Forces in Europe), and a regional air passenger terminal located near Lajes on Terceira Island in the Azores, Portugal. Located about 2,290 miles east of New York City and about 990 miles west of Lisbon, Portugal, the base sits in a strategic location midway between North America and Europe in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Lajes Field is the home of the 65th Air Base Wing, which in turn is subordinate to the United States Air Forces in Europe. The wing provides base and en route support for United States Department of Defense, NATO, and other authorized aircraft transiting the installation.

Terceira, like each of the Azores islands, is considered a mini-paradise, with beautiful ocean views everywhere and a temperate climate all year around. Residents of the small, rural community of Lajes form close ties and take advantage of recreational facilities, including several well-lighted tennis courts, racquetball courts, a gymnasium with weight room, a bowling alley, softball fields, an outdoor pool and a youth center. Opportunities for outdoor activities include horseback riding, hiking, camping, mountain climbing, all-terrain bicycling, golfing, whale and dolphin watching, sailing, diving, windsurfing and deep-sea fishing.
Cultural and religious festivals, some based on traditions dating back hundreds of years, prosper during spring and summer. Residents line the narrow cobblestone streets and sit on the rooftops of their villages to watch weekly street bullfights. Dairy farming and fishing are the island's major industries, just as they were 300 years ago.

Kunsan Air Base is a United States Air Force base located at the town of Gunsan on the west coast of the South Korean peninsula. The town can be written as both Gunsan and Kunsan. The United States Air Force uses Gunsan to refer to the town, and Kunsan to refer to the base.
Kunsan Air Base is the home of the 8th Fighter Wing, assigned to the Pacific Air Forces Seventh Air Force, and the 38th Fighter Group of the Republic of Korea Air Force. It is one of two major Air Force installations operated by the United States in Korea.

Gunsan is located on the south bank of the Geum River just upstream from its exit into the Yellow Sea. Gunsan's economy thrives on fishing, agriculture and heavy industry located in the western Industrial Zone. This area hosts factories for GM Korea and Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle. Gunsan is served by frequent railway service on the Gunsan Line from Iksan and is connected to the Seohaean Expressway.
Situated right on the waterfront, Gunsan is well-known for its delicacy of sliced raw fish, or hoe, and sushi. International Cultural Village hosts a multitude of bars, dance clubs, restaurants, and souvenir shops. In the downtown walking mall of Gunsan, street vendors hawk their wares, complete with outdoor displays of the latest fashions. The city also features a Buddhist temple, Wolmeyeong Park, and Saemangum Seawall. Gunsan is home to a number of tourist attractions, from the beautiful islands of Gogunsangundo to Eunpa Park, with windsurfing, boating, and a 1-km cherry blossom tunnel formed as the entrance to the park. The reed forests surrounding the Geum River are home to the largest colony of migrant birds in Korea.
Occupants: 51st Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force
Osan Air Base is a United States Air Force facility located in the Songtan section of Pyeongtaek City, South Korea, 40 miles south of Seoul. Despite its name, Osan AB is not within Osan City, which is 4.7 miles to the north. Osan Air Base is one of two major US Air Force installations operated by the United States in Korea.
The base is the home of the Pacific Air Forces' 51st Fighter Wing and a number of tenant units, including the headquarters for Seventh Air Force. The base is also the headquarters of the ROK Air Force Operations Command. Osan Air Base is the departure and arrival point for U.S. government-contracted "Patriot Express" flights bringing service members and their family members to Korea.
As the most forward-deployed, permanently based wing in the Air Force, and equipped with A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and F-16 Fighting Falcons, the 51st Fighter Wing is charged with executing combat operations, receiving follow-on forces, and defending the base from attack.
As the air component to U.S. Forces Korea and Combined Forces Command, the 7th Air Force provides the command and control structures and personnel necessary to deliver precise, persistent, combined air and space power in defense of South Korea.

Pyeongtaek is a city in southwestern part of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. With the nearby location of United States Forces Korea, Pyeongtaek city is transforming into an international economic hub. Immediately outside the Osan AB is Sinjang-dong Shopping Mall, a district with many bars, dance clubs, small shops, and restaurants offering a festive atmosphere with entertainment, music, and games (especially darts and pool). Most stores, restaurants, and establishments are bilingual (English/Korean) and many accept U.S. dollars as well as South Korean won. The Citizen's Hall provides free activities such as concerts, movies, exhibitions, and game tournaments.
Additional attractions to the area are Simbok Temple, the Farmer's Music Festival, the Daedong Judiciary Monument, the Botanical Gardens, Buraksan hiking trail, and local museums.
Occupants: 39th Air Base Wing
Incirlik Air Base is located in İncirlik, five miles east of Adana, Turkey's fifth largest city. The U.S. Air Force and the Turkish Air Force are the primary users of the base.
Incirlik is the home of the 10th Tanker Base of the Turkish Air Force's 2nd Air Force Command. Other wings of this command are located in Merzifon, Malatya/Erhaç, and Diyarbakır.
The primary USAF unit stationed at Incirlik is the 39th Air Base Wing, whose mission is to support and protect U.S. and NATO assets and people throughout Turkey while providing a full spectrum of capabilities to the warfighter. It has a complement of about 3,000 Airmen, DOD and GS employees and family members, with several hundred Turkish Air Force airmen also present. The wing also supports three geographically separated units.
Although the wing has no permanently assigned aircraft, it provides excellent facilities and supports training deployments and regional exercises, communications for National Command Authority taskings, and hub support for various units. Incirlik is a small town in the Sarıçam district of Adana Province located 35 miles from the Mediterranean Sea. The Adana region is mostly a large stretch of flat, fertile land, making it one of the most agriculturally productive areas of the world and a commercial center.
Known for its warm, friendly community, the surrounding area is home to a number of events and festivals. These include Seyhan Cultural Events, Altın Koza International Film Festival, Çukurova Art Days, and Adana Literature Festival, as well as events held at Ramazanoğlu Hall and the city's amphitheaters. Notable attractions to the area are the Misis Mosaic Museum, Merkez Park, Süleyman Demirel Arboretum, İnönü Botanical Garden, and the Sabancı Cultural Center.

RAF Mildenhall is a Royal Air Force station located at Mildenhall in Suffolk, England. Despite its status as an RAF station, it primarily supports United States Air Force operations and is currently the home of the 100th Air Refueling Wing. As RAF Mildenhall's "host wing," the 100th supports some 16,000 personnel, three geographically separated units, and 15 associated units.
RAF Mildenhall hosts units from four different major USAF commands—Air Combat Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, Air Mobility Command, and United States Air Forces in Europe, as well as units of the United States Navy. RAF Mildenhall and its sister base RAF Lakenheath are the largest United States Air Force bases in the United Kingdom.
The host unit at Mildenhall is the 100th Air Refueling Wing, which deploys aircraft for and manages the European Tanker Task Force, a rotational force that provides air refueling to US and NATO aircraft in the European Theater. It is the only permanent USAF air refueling wing in the European theater. The wing provides the critical air refueling "bridge" that enables the Expeditionary Air Force to deploy around the globe on a moment's notice.

Mildenhall is a small market town and civil parish centering upon a market place with a 16th-century hexagonal market cross and town pump. Friday market, typical of the small markets around East Anglia, offers everything from fruit and vegetables to clothing and tools. St. Mary's Church still retains many of its 12th and 13th century features, with spectacularly carved angels. The city is home to the Mildenhall Air Show, the largest military organized air display in the world.
Mildenhall Museum sports displays of local history, the local wildlife, the history of the RAF base, and information on the “Mildenhall Treasure,” a horde of 4th century Roman silver tableware found nearby. The River Lark runs through the town, along with several walks to Barton Mills and along the Lark Valley to Bury St. Edmunds. Mildenhall is home to College Heath and Riverside and Mildenhall College of Technology.
Formerly Randolph Air Force Base, Joint Base San Antonio is located at Universal City, Texas, adjacent to San Antonio.
The base serves as headquarters of the Air Education and Training Command, as well as the Air Force Personnel Center. It is known as "the Showplace of the Air Force" because of the Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture in which all structures were constructed.
Randolph's host wing is the 502 Air Base Wing. Its major flying unit is the 12th Flying Training Wing. Randolph conducts 24-hour-a-day flight training operations.
Other tenant units at Randolph include the Air Force Manpower Agency, an Air Force Office of Special Investigations Field Investigations unit, and the Air Force Recruiting Service.
