It’s our mission to improve the quality of life of all Air Force active-duty service members, civilian airmen, and their families. The Force Support team includes a wide range of professionals and professions that meet the everyday needs of the Air Force community, whether that be human resources, adult and child educational opportunities, military and family readiness, fitness and recreation, or basic necessities such as food service and lodging.

As a Force Support PAQ Intern, you will work shoulder to shoulder with current Force Support Managers on challenging and rewarding real-world projects, where you’ll make real contributions and gain invaluable hands-on experience. Your internship provides on-the-job training as well as the opportunity for 100% funding for a relevant master’s degree. Successful completion of the PAQ Internship leads to an offer of a permanent position within your chosen career field. Child Development

As a Child Development Intern, you’ll help the Child Development Center Director, Community Child Care Coordinator, and Training and Curriculum Specialists develop, administer, and evaluate developmental and educational activities for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age, as well as develop training material for staff.

Youth Development

As a Youth Development Intern, you’ll work with School Age Coordinators, Youth Program Directors, Training and Curriculum Specialists, and Youth Sports and Fitness Directors in the Before and After School Age Program, Preteen and Teen programs, and Youth Sports, helping develop and implement activity plans for youths 5 to 18 years of age.

Community Readiness Consultant

As a Community Readiness Consultant (CRC) Intern, you’ll assist commanders, military personnel and their families, and DoD civilian employees, build resilience while managing the competing demands of life in the military.

CRCs help customers prioritize issues and develop action plans with specific goals to address their needs. Core program areas include deployment planning and support, personal financial readiness skills, personal and work-life skills development, relocation assistance, employment assistance, volunteer resources, military child education information, family member support, transition assistance, wounded, ill, and injured support services, casualty assistance, and community support prior, during, and after disasters or crises.

General Education Services Specialist

Education Services Specialists provide a wide range of functions at Air Force Education Centers through one-on-one consultation or group meetings, including interviewing Airmen to assess their personal and academic histories to help set realistic educational and vocational goals.

As an Education Service Specialist Intern, you’ll counsel military personnel, their dependents, and eligible civilian personnel regarding military and academic testing programs and how they apply to career development and degree programs. You’ll help determine Airmen’s eligibility for Air Force Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) and assist in their preparation of forms for enrollment. You’ll also assist with navigating Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, loans and scholarships, PELL Grants, and other grant/loan programs of the federal, state, or local government for which they qualify.


Management Analysts conduct studies in the areas of manpower requirement determinants, data analytics, consultant services, programming factors, wartime support, and enterprise tools.

As a Management Analyst Intern, you’ll help shape Air Force and Department of Defense manpower resourcing decisions through timely Management Engineering, Data Analytics, Consultant Services, Process Improvement, and Enterprise Tools and Training. In addition, you’ll leverage data science methodologies to convert vast quantities of raw data into meaningful information and insight to facilitate, optimize, and expedite decision-making.

You’ll play an important role in helping us merge our proven practices with smarter, faster, and more visible means of information delivery and analysis. You’ll learn the nuances of data management; processing and cleaning methodologies in a cloud environment; advanced modeling and simulation techniques; and dynamic data visualization and reporting capabilities that will be critical in furthering our historic relevance and customer-focused capabilities that enable us to provide each Air Force customer reliable, real-time, data-driven decisions.

Human Resources Specialist

As a Human Resource Specialist Intern, you’ll perform a number of functions to help AFCS accomplish its mission, including helping with recruiting, selecting, and placing employees, performing job analysis and workforce planning, improving employee/labor relations, conducting research, coordinating efforts, and advising management in identifying, attracting, maintaining, and retaining a high-quality and diverse workforce. Demonstrating knowledge of current policies and practices and staying abreast of regulations, policies, and recent developments in program areas will also be key components of your responsibilities.


  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Recent graduate (within two years of completing degree) or full-time undergraduate/graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university graduating during current semester

  • BA/MA in a variety of degrees such as Human Resources, Education, Early Childhood/Child Development, Social Services, Business Analytics, or related fields

  • GPA 2.95 or above

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (funded by USAF)
